Keyword density is how many times you use your keywords in one article.

Use your keywords in your article, but don't overdo it. Google will consider that "spammy" or "keyword stuffing" and the Google spiders will kick your article down in the rankings as a penalty or sometimes go as far as to penalize your whole site. So you can use them once or twice, but keep your keyword density to a minimum. The exact percentage is really unknown, some say 5% and some say 20% based on the word count of your article, so play it safe until you get a feel for what is acceptable. How many times you use them also depends on how long your article is. If it is a long article, you can use one or two more.
