Having Googled "Make Money Online" there are currently 544,000,000 people asking the same question and obviously there are many answers. I have a book, I read offering 99 Ways to Flood your Website with Traffic, most of them are free!
Affiliate marketing is a pretty good starting point for beginners, but before I start singing the praises of affiliate marketing, let us look at some ways of attracting free traffic to your sales pages.
Article writing some think this is an out-dated traffic source but I happen to like writing articles, so for me it is a pleasure. So besides putting articles on your website or blog, where can you place them? Well here are a few suggestions:
Guest blogging sites
Article directories
You can tweet
Add them to Google+ which I'm finding successful at the moment for getting listings onto the search pages, and therefore free SEO traffic.
One idea I read about recently was to send them to people with large email lists in your niche for the benefit of their customers, with a link to something free on your website. If the content is good and informative they might be struggling for time and ideas the article suggested, and would send your info to their lists. They may have large lists of customers pleased to receive your gift that will look at your website. I haven't tried this method yet, it may be good.
Forum marketing is another free traffic source if you have a good free item to offer in your signature that is linked to your website, a training video or e-Book. for example.
Free classified ads, online directory can work, depending on your niche. Once again promote a free gift rather than just your website.
Now back to affiliate marketing, I think this is the simplest way to begin online as with a mentor you can learn as you earn and grow your business part-time with a tried and tested plan of action. Some help and assistance will be provided, comradeship from other members of the group. Tips and answers are a big help when you are learning new techniques. There may be training provided, or marketing tools, sales pages etc and products which are delivered to your customers, which reduces your work load.
In due course you can create your own email list of subscribers and your own website, but affiliate marketing with a mentor is a great starting point. You may never want to leave the comfort and support if your aspirations are small, but you can grow your business, or diversify into other fields.
You could later become a coach or a speaker, a website designer, or specialise in a particular niche, maybe start a membership website. The choice is huge but whatever the future holds for you, it can be exciting, it all starts with the first step. Begin now and make 2016 year to remember!
